On the Wednesday after any concert the orchestra holds a 'players night' instead of the usual rehearsal. This is to sight read and play new music or revisit some of the older scores from the library. It is also a chance for members to play a solo or duet in an informal setting. This is also a social occasion with the orchestra members having a drink together afterwards.
